The Malaria P.f./Pan Ag Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood) is a rapid lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay intended for the qualitative detection and differentiation of HRP-II (Histidine-rich protein II) specific to Plasmodium falciparum and pLDH (Plasmodium lactate dehydrogenase) specific to Plasmodium species (Pan) in human fingerstick whole blood and venipuncture whole blood specimens of symptomatic patients suspected of having malaria. Malaria P.f./Pan Ag Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood) is intended to be used by trained healthcare or laboratory professionals or other health care workers who have received appropriate training. This product can be used by trained lay providers operating in point-of-care settings in resource-limited lower- and middle-income countries. This product is not intended for self-testing. The product is not automated, and it needs to be performed and interpreted manually by the trained user.
